TROUBLESHOOTING
MP3
streams:
On our radio page , you can see the colored tune-in buttons
for the radio stream on the right. The MP3 stream has the icon
next to it..
If you are on Windows , we really recommend using the free Winamp
player. The best choice in our opinion is getting Classic
Winamp (2.9 series), however you can also get
Winamp 5 directly.
Once you install it, try and click on the buttons. 128k button is only for
those who are on a fast broadband connection, either at work or DSL, or Cable.
56k can work for broadband or IDSN lines (not 56k modems though). The lower
ones are for Modems.
If you are using Unix/Linux , there are a number of clients
for your platforms which should work: XMMS mpg123 Xaudio MPlayer
If you are on a Mac , note that
the latest iTunes already lists our audio channels. But here are
some links to try: Apple
iTunes MacAMP
Windows
Media streams:
The button
is for the Windows Media stream. Typically you can use any recent
Microsoft Windows Media Player to listen. There
is even a version for Macs. Make sure that your player has the
most recent codecs installed, currently we stream at WM9.
Additionally, Winamp comes with a WMA plugin, so that if you know what you
are doing you can connect to these streams using Winamp manually.
Please note that the higher bitrates (66k and up) will not work on a 56k modem
properly, you will experience skips. You need a broadband connection (Cable/DSL)
to experience the better quality.
Experiencing Problems?
Please visit our Contact Us if you are still having
problems, or are just unsure about something. You may find that your question
has already been answered, or feel free to post your problem in a forum.
When contacting us, please describe your problem in detail, that way we are
better able to suggest something. For example, state your operating system
(Windows XP, or 2000), your browser and version, your Media player and version,
and what happens during your problem (any error/status messages?). We cannot
help you if we don't understand your problem. We kindly ask that you first
try and solve the problem on your own, as we are very understaffed :)
